As I am cooking my way through the Disney repertoire I am finding the recipes totally non-intimidating. This is great news for everyone! It means you can definitely enjoy your favorite Disney foods at home. This recipe is no exception. Much like the mac and cheese recipe I recently posted, these meatballs went from inception to oven very quickly (only about 10 minutes). I KNOW you have that kind of time to cook your family a simple and delicious meal right? This is also a great introduction to a cuisine your family may have never tried. This is what I would call a mildly ethnic recipe.
Morocco - Epcot
1 pound ground beef
¼ of one onion, chopped
1 teaspoon chopped parsley
1 teaspoon chopped cilantro
spices: salt and pepper (you can add a dash of cumin if you want)
Method of Preparation:
Mix all the ingredients well, so everything is mixed with the ground beef. Make small balls with you hands or a small scoop (ice cream scoop). Place them in either a large baking pan or baking dish and pour tomato sauce over the top of the meatballs. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.
Sauce: mix 4 tablespoons of tomato paste with 1-1/2 cups of water, add 2 teaspoons garlic and oregano.
So go ahead and show your family the world! These are the perfect entree for your Aladdin movie night. Only two recipes left until you have a complete menu so hurry back for the rest!
